We should have been at our hotel between 2-2:30 but didn't get there until 4:15! We did give him a tip although I don't feel he deserved it and I will most likely never use this service again. Needless to say, we were tired and cranky that a 40 minute ride turned into well over 2 hours. I would blame it on heavy traffic but the traffic was pretty normal with no major backups at all. We went all the way to South Beach to drop off the second person (after my husband and myself) and then around some more to drop off the third person he had picked up before FINALLY taking us back toward Miami Airport and our hotel. That I could understand but once that was accomplished, he basically took us for a "tour" of Miami. The driver wasn't happy that he had to take us to Miami, then he drove around the airport three times looking to pick up more passengers. Turned out it took us nearly 2 1/2 hours to get to our hotel near the airport in Miami. The drive from FLL airport to Miami is estimated to be 35-40 minutes. I'm sure it is and the price was right so I booked the shuttle from Fort Lauderdale Airport to our hotel in Miami one day before leaving on a cruise. I was told by my travel agent that this company is at most airports and is reputable.
